Wasique has more than 14 years of Global Experience in handling Complex Litigations. He is skilled at guiding his clients throughout the legal process and effectively accomplishes their goals through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or litigation, depending on the circumstances of each particular case. Not only is he practical and solution-oriented, but he is also highly attentive and empathetic to his clients’ specific wants and needs. He has expertise in inter-provincial and international jurisdiction matters, including child mobility, child abduction, the Hague Convention, and complex international property matters.
Prior to joining MFC, Wasique worked as an associate lawyer at a boutique litigation law firm in the Greater Toronto Area. Wasique also worked as a Senior Associate at one of the leading full-service law firms of his home country, Bangladesh, named Amir and Amir Law Associates, which was a distinguished Lex Mundi member firm.
Wasique obtained his LL. B(Hons) Degree from the University of Wolverhamton, UK in 2007. Wasique completed his Bar Vocational Course (BVC) and Post Graduate Diploma in Law (PGDL) from the Manchester Metropolitan University and subsequently got called as a Barrister-at-Law (England and Wales) from the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. Wasique is also enrolled as an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. He completed his Master of Law (LL.M) from the Osgoode Hall Law School of York University and received Certificate of Qualifications from the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) of The Federation of Law Societies of Canada. He was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2020.
He is a member of Law Society of Ontario, Ontario Bar Association, Bangladeshi Canadian Lawyers Association, Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, Barrister Association of Bangladesh, Dhaka Bar Association, Bangladesh.
In his free time Wasique loves to spend time with friends and family and loves to watch soccer and cricket
