Patrick is an associate lawyer at MFC Lawyers. Born and raised in Hamilton/Dundas, Ontario, he received an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Carleton University, and his law degree at Western University. He articled at a full-service firm in Hamilton where he focused on family law, while sharpening his litigation skills taking on Small Claims Court matters.
Patrick then operated his own firm in Dundas, Ontario for three years and specialized in Family Law. During this three-year period he argued matters in the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice and successfully argued an appeal matter at the Divisional Court level. Patrick then wound down his practice to follow his wife to Nova Scotia while she trained to be a psychiatrist. Patrick spent nearly 10 years doing family law in the Halifax area, while also appearing in nearly every jurisdiction in the province. Patrick worked on appeals to the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal and successfully litigated several trials.
Patrick has continued to specialize in Family Law since his return to practice in Ontario in 2020. Patrick lives downtown Guelph with his wife, two daughters, and two cats. He and his daughters enjoy soccer and play in local soccer leagues. Patrick is comfortable with assisting people with amicable Separation Agreements or highly contentious litigation matters.
